Rescued animals are always able to bring a tear to my eye. Here are some of the most heartwarming (or tear jerking) rescued animal stories with photos…
1. Rescued Dog No. 1
This dog was found living in a pile of trash. I don’t know how animals can look as bad as her, but she definitely needs some medication and a place to stay in. The after picture is only taken 3 months after she was rescued. That rescue, definitely changed her life
2. Rescued Dog No. 2
This is Treasure. She was just a heartbreaking 2 years old when she was found, and with her matted fur, she was unable to walk. It was a good thing that a motorist saw her and brought her to a rescue center. Now she is definitely treasured to here she is living now. With that big smile and bright white coat, everything seems to be looking good.
3. Rescued Dog No. 3
This creature above that is hardly recognizable but anything four legged. But as he was cleaned up in the Quebec Society for the Protection of Animals in Montreal, Canada, she has been looking much better. With the cold weather of the country, he must have been relying on his fur so much that it got that dirty.
4. Rescued Dog No. 4
This is Olivia and she has been living in an animal shelter. Although in an animal shelter, Olivia is quite thin and sad. But after she has been rescued, it looks like she has been fed quite nicely and has been grinning since.
5. Rescued Dog No. 5
That right here is approximately 2 pounds of matted fur. You could hardly recognize what kind of dog is lying behind all that. In addition to that, shaving her fur was a mess, since it was matted unto its roots. But Ellen seems to be happy removing all of that fur from her body. And with two years of age, this puppy is ready to live with a loving family.
6. Rescued Dog No. 6
Just looking at this dog is enough to make someone cry in pain. For a dog to get so thin and hairless, he must have gotten so stressed. Bones were sticking out all over his body and there is no good thing with him at all. But ever since Cedar was taken in by a loving family, he has been joyous as he can be. Just look at how much hair he has.
7. Rescued Dog No. 7
This is Alana and she has been living with that matted fur in the streets. I’m not sure of how she can see with that much overgrown hair, but when she was brought to an animal shelter, they discovered a young and perky dog that they assumed to be a senior dog. The Alana today is looking very beautiful and happy with her new home.
8. Rescued Dog No. 8
9. Rescued Dog No. 9
This is a dog that was left by his owner to try and live on his own. But the dog, named Theo has just been trying to live on his own, but with that much fur, it seems to holding him down. And after he was rescued by Hope For Paws, he seems to be feeling a lot better and is looking handsome.
10. Rescued Dog No. 10
You won’t believe how much Vita has gone through. He was found in a Los Angeles junk yard and is only weighing 70 pounds. That’s a little too light for a German shepherd, and he seems to have been dying! It was just the right timing when he was rescued. Although it took him months of veterinary care and feeding off a healthy diet, he is now as reliable and healthy as he should be. He looks so happy and you will be amazed at how much he actually changed.
11. Rescued Dog No. 11
The first two photos were of Iggy when he was back in Mexico with a terrible eye infection. And thanks to Social Media, Iggy received a lot of donations that helped him to get transported in the United States to get taken care for. And with all those love and support showered at him, he seems happy that he’s been given another chance in life.

13. Rescued Dog No. 13
This dog is Woody and he was left on his own when his owner died. It was probably a shock, but he just left the house and hid somewhere safe. 19. Rescued Dog No. 19
This sad looking dog is Leela and she was taken in a pound after being rescued. But it seems like without an owner, Leela will just be hanging on to her stuffed toys.
